Falkner Park

Falkner Park has been a staple and local hangout for many decades.  Located in the center of Youngstown's downtown area, the park has a play structure, seasonal sandbox and sprinkler pad for the kiddos. Park benches throughout, give you a spot to relax and watch the birds and squirrels.  In the summer months, the village hosts live music in the park on Friday evenings. Grab some pizza logs from Miain Street Pizza across the street and enjoy them in the shade at the park's pavilion.

Old Fort Niagara State Park

Old Fort Niagara is a state park that offers a rich blend of history and natural beauty, making it a perfect destination for a day out. Spread over 500 acres, the site features extensive walking paths, playgrounds, picnic areas, and a seasonal public pool. Fort Niagara Beach is a locals' favorite for catching spectacular sunset where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario.

As a key historical site, it has witnessed significant events from the French and Indian War to the War of 1812. Visitors can explore well-maintained 18th-century buildings and historical fort grounds, visit the history museum and watch the reenactment performances, including cannon and musket firing.
